Twenty-five years!
2022 marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of Golden Gate Fencing Center.
It’s been an incredible journey – from our beginning practices at Kezar Stadium to building our beautiful Golden Gate Fencing Center, then outdoors at Candlestick Park through COVID19 and back to GGFC – we’ve made so many memories, had great successes, and enjoyed all the training, trips, and competitions.
But now, it’s time for new challenges and adventures. While it is certainly bittersweet, the coaches have made the decision that GGFC will close on July 31, 2022.
The coaches are so proud of all that GGFC has accomplished, but most of all we are so grateful to our fencers, families, and friends for the support, love, and encouragement that has been a cornerstone of GGFC. Truly, the best part of Golden Gate Fencing Center has been not the medals, championships, or Olympics, but the relationships and friendships that we’ve been so fortunate to make through GGFC. These will live always in our hearts.
